OUR PASTORS
Brian "Kiko" Wallington and Damon Hamby are our dedicated co-pastors. They believe in leading the flock according to God's "L-A-W" which stands for Love, Attitude, and Word. Showing love, exhibiting an excellent attitude, and rightly dividing the Word of truth is our proven recipe for fulfilling the Great Commission.
Pastor Wallington and Pastor Hamby were ordained together as Deacons in 2009. Hamby became a licensed gospel preacher in 2010 and Wallington in 2011. In October 2014 they were elected as co-pastor candidates of Mount Vernon church, and confirmed in 2016.
Pastor Hamby and his wife Keisha have two boys, Damon Jr. and Micah. Pastor Wallington and his wife Teresa have one adult son, Jaylen.
Emphasizing the relevance of God's Word to a 21st century world is the cornerstone of our preaching and teaching, while helping believers discover their own gifts and calling in Christ is the essence of our discipleship development process. All are welcome!
